pant
Pant Cemetery is located about 3 miles North of Merthyr Tydfil Town Centre on the road to Pontsticill and just before the Brecon Mountain Railway Terminus.
The small church shown in the first photograph is located close to an entrance gate in the SE corner. The sections in the foreground and to the right were described as the Anglican Section and Rees and Ann Prosser are in plot ME/36.
Having walked about 80 meters to the right of the first position ( along the path parallel to the wall) the second picture shows the ME section looking back and up the hill. The Prosser grave is hidden  in this shot but the two adjacent graves are centre shot.
Photograph three : All that remains of the memorial stone is the base. It is identical to the base shown on the grave to the right, with champhered edges. Marks on the base could indicate that something heavy has fallen on it sometime in the past. The Foreman in charge said that fallen broken headstones were removed. The grave to the right is dated April 1868 fitting with the first burial in the Prosser grave of May 1868.
