84. Charles Giberson was born in 1838 in Carleton, New Brunswick. He lived in Kent Parish, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada in 1851. He was a doctor in the States. "Morning News", 24 July 1861:
The "Reporter" states that Charles Giberson, late a student of Dr.
Dow, Fredericton, has been recently elected to the post of House
Physician in Island Hospital, Balckwell's Island, New York. There are
1000 patients in the institution.

"Colonial Farmer", 1 May 1865:
We learn that Dr. Charles H. Giberson, having passed a satisfactory
examination in Washington [D.C.], has been promoted to the rank of
full surgeion in the U.S. Navy. Dr. Giberson studied under Dr. Dow of
Saint John city.

Charles Henry Giberson, M.D., was surgeon on USS Sloup Mississippi
sunk on Tennessee River during the Civil War. George Dewey, later
Admiral of the Fleet (during the Spanish American War) as also on the
ship. The ship was sunk by the confederate batteries at Fort
Donnelson.

Charles Giberson and Indiana Jackson were married on 25 May 1869 in Brooklyn, New York (Kings). Indiana Jackson was born in 1841 in New York. She died about 1938 at the age of 97 in Sheffield, Massachusetts (Berkshire). 1880 Census for Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, lists
