On 23 Dec 1855, he married Jane Jones in Muskingum County, Ohio. She is the daughter of Abraham Jones and Elmer. She was born Nov 1834 in Ohio.

  5. Ulysses S. Cassingham was born 5 Sep 1864 in Illinois.
  6. George Washington Cassingham was born 26 May 1868 in Illinois.
  7. Bessie Aletha Cassingham was born 26 September 1873 in Illinois. She died 16 March 1966 at age 92 in Denver, Denver, Colorado. About 1890, she married William Howard. He was born in Sep 1868 in Iowa.

By the 5th and 6th children, Ford had turned to naming his children after important political figures. One has to wonder if Ulysses S. Cassingham found it uncomfortable bearing that name in Missouri.
