| [From the Kansas City Star, 5 Dec 1998.] Carl W. Snell, 83, Overland Park, KS, passed away Thursday, December 3, 1998, at his home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Bethel Congregation of the RLDS Church, 8510 Leavenworth Rd.; burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Mr. Snell was born in Lexington, MO. He owned the Carl Snell Construction CO. for 40 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Bethel Congregation of the RLDS Church; was an Elder of the church and a Bishop's agent for 18 years. He served as president of the Armourdale Optimist Club in 1975-1977. He married Rose Marie Duxbury on September 1, 1936, and she survives of the home. Additional survivors include his children, Carl P. Snell, Mission, KS, Les E. Snell, Olathe, KS, Joyce Charlton, Overland Park, KS, and Roxanna Smith, Shawnee, KS; sister, Ruby Smith, Gravois Mills, MO; nine grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren.
