ADAM

Marie Adam, 92, formerly of Fort Jennings, died at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2007, at Hearth & Home of Van Wert.

She was born October 24, 1914, in Jackson Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late John W. and Maryellen “Birdie” (Morris) Adams. On June 22, 1935, she married Charles W. “Buss” Adam, who died in 1986.

Survivors include three sons, Dean F. Adam of Elida, Terry (Marvel) Adam of Van Wert and Doug (Bev) Adam of rural Van Wert; a daughter, Joy (Rex) Roth of Forest; two brothers, Ned (Norma) Adams and Bill (Leona) Adams, both of Grover Hill; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Melba Sue LaRoche; six brothers, John W., James, Floyd, Glenn, Clayton Lee and Homer Adams; four sisters, Leta Miller, Treva Walters, Dorothy Gudakunst and LaVerna Dudgeon; and a grandchild, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Mark McKay officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill.

Visitation is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials: Zion Christian Union Church in Grover Hill or Community Health Professionals-Hospice.

Marie Adam, 92, formerly of Fort Jennings, died at 7:40 p.m. Saturday at Hearth and Home of Van Wert. She was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Van Wert County, to John and Maryellen Birdie (Morris) Adams. On June 22, 1935, she married Charles Buss Adam, who died in 1986. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, officiated by the Rev. Mark McKay and burial was in Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill. Preferred memorials are to the Community Health Professional hospice program or to Zion Christian Union Church in Grover Hill.
