Arvilla Arthalinza Pumphrey is the daughter of Ann Hively and Rezin Wells Pumphrey. She was born 1 September 1854 in Whitley county, Indiana. She died 13 November 1948 at age 94 in Whitley county, Indiana. She is buried at Stough Cemetery, Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana.

• On 24 August 1873, at age 18, she married John Dorsey Yontz, who was age 19, in Whitley county, Indiana. He is the son of Benjamin Franklin Yontz and Christiana Watson. He was born in April 1854 in Ohio. He died 8 June 1903 at age 49 in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana. He is buried at Stough Cemetery, Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana.

1. Gladys F. Yontz was born 2 June 1874 in Whitley county, Indiana.
2. Reazin W. Yontz was born 3 February 1876/1877 in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana.
3. Elizabeth Pearl Yontz was born in May 1878 in Indiana. Bessie, as she is known, died 26 July 1953 at age 75 in Whitley county, Indiana. She is buried at Stough Cemetery, Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana.
   • In 1914, at age 35, she married Edward Errett Boyer, who was age 39, in Eureka, Woodford, Illinois. This was a second marriage for Edward. He is the son of Christopher Columbus Boyer and Louisa Ann Kibler. He was born 18 May 1874 in Embarrass, Edgar, Illinois. He died 2 April 1952 at age 77 in Bloomington, Monroe, Indiana. He is buried at Olio Township Cemetery, Eureka, Woodford, Illinois.
4. Hallie Christiann Yontz was born 18 April 1880 in Whitley county, Indiana.
5. Ottie Arvilla Yontz was born 20 August 1888 in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana. She died in September 1970 at age 82 in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana. She is buried at Stough Cemetery, Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana.
   • On 18/19 June 1910, at age 21, she married Charles Christian Rummel, who was also age 21, in Whitley county, Indiana. He is the son of Hugh Wells Rummel and Elizabeth Abigail Seymour. He was born 20 March 1889 in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana. This marriage does not seem to have lasted long -- by the 1920 census, Ottie lists herself as divorced and has reverted to her maiden name.

Notes

Arvilla: The middle name "Arthalinza" appears in a family tree prepared by another researcher, but I have not been able to substantiate that name.  Documents that mention a full name say only:

Elizabeth: Elizabeth distinguished herself as an educator. Several newspaper articles mention her.
