Emma Ann Stouder is the daughter of Catharine Sriner and Solomon Barks Stouder. She was born in October 1863 in Indiana. She died about September 1947 at age 83.

• On 18 October 1882, she married George W. Merriman in Allen county, Indiana. He is the son of Freeman Merriman and Malinda Gaskill. He was born in January 1862 in Whitley county, Indiana. He died about April 1940 at age 78.

   • On 3 October 1912, she married Henry Irving Adams in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana. He is the son of Aaron C. Adams and Ida Lillie Ruth. He was born 2 March 1890 in West Reading, Berks, Pennsylvania. He died 15 August 1968 at age 78 in Jamaica, Queens, New York. On 19 August 1968, he was buried at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.
8. Katherine I. Merriman was born 15 October 1897 in Whitley county, Indiana.
9. Bernice M. Merriman was born 27 October 1900 in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana.
   • On 27 November 1924, she married Joseph G. Dehner in Allen county, Indiana. He is the son of Joseph Dehner and Margaret Hooney. He was born 21 October 1890/1891/1892 in Earl Park, Benton, Indiana. He died in February 1969 at age 77 in Marion, Grant, Indiana. This is apparently a second marriage for Bernice. The name of her first husband is unknown.

Notes

Emma`s father, Solomon Stouder, apparently didn't think much of Emma's husband, George. He was so upset over George's actions that he cut Emma off in his will. The incident is enumerated in the following articles.
