Adam's sons John Blackman (d. 1662) and James Blackman (d. 1689, husbandof (1) the daughter, dc 1665?, of Mary [---] [stiles] Clarke, and (2)Miriam Wheeler, d. 1693, later wife of Edward Groome) are the only twowho left surviving male issue with descendants named Blackman.
John Blackman's will dated Nov. 19, 1661, probated November 1662mentioned his wife and children Joseph, eldest son and others not named.Names brothers Burdsey, Wheeler and James. Witnesses Adam Blackman (hisFather) and James Blackman. Inventory taken by Richard Booth, JeremiaJudson, and William Curtis, and filed Nov. 26, 1662.
