AT's start from 1600 , early entries are latin , the above not obvious to pick out
The earliest Salthouse Church Records were in
good condition in the 1930s, when Commander Frank Stagg was researching his
History of Salthouse, and made this little list of Girdlestones from the Burial
Register of the 16th century - of interest to Salthouse who shared the rectory
and the lord of the manor with Kelling.
Today these records are so damaged by having been buried in the churchyard to protect them from the 1939-45 war, that they
are not available to the general public.
