CARRIE ELLER.

    Carrie Eller, daughter of Joseph Eller and Margaret A. Smith, was born May 23rd, 1876. She married Harry E. Taylor, June 1st, 1905. She is a member of Central Presbyterian Church, of Lafayette, Indiana, where she resides. Carrie attended the Crawfordsville High School. There is one child, Joseph Eller Taylor.

Joseph Eller Taylor was born September 5th 1917.


MARTHA ELLER.

    Martha Eller, eighth child and fourth daughter of James H. Eller and Feraby Sanders, was born in Owen County, Indiana, March 3rd, 1857. She was married to Samuel Boruff, January 21st, 1874. Four children were born to this union: Daisy Florence, Nathan Harley, Raleigh Raymond, and Inez Pharby. She, with her husband, who has been blind for thirteen years, has resided on the farm out of Freedom, Indiana, on Rural Route Number 3.


DAISY FLORENCE BORUFF.

    Daisy Florence Boruff, oldest child of Martha Eller and Samuel Boruff, was born September 17th, 1876 She was married to Willis A. Neeld, at the Methodist Parsonage at Elletsville, Indiana, April 18th, 1895. There were two children: Goldie Ellen and Fred. She first united with the Methodist Church at Adel and later moved her membership to the Cross Roads M. E., Church in Monroe County, Indiana. She died March 12th, 1900, after suffering twelve months with consumption, and was laid to rest at Bloomington, Indiana.

Goldie Helen Neeld was born January 14th, 1895.
Fred Neeld was born August 25th 1898. He died August 28th, 1898.


NATHAN HARLEY BORUFF.

    Nathan Harley Boruff, second child of Martha Heller and Samuel Boruff, was born August 10th, 1882. He is married and lives happily with his family.

RALEIGH RAYMOND BORUFF.

    Raleigh Raymond Boruff, third child of Martha Eller and Samuel Boruff, was born March 16th, 1887. He is married and is happy with his family.


INEZ PHARBY BORUFF.

    Inez Pharby Boruff, fourth child of Samuel Boruff and Martha Eller, was born October 6th, 1890, She was married to Grover C. Thacker. December 26th, 1906. They have two children, Esther Pauline and Mildred Winnie. Inez is a member of Little Flock Baptist Church and resides with her family out of Freedom, Indiana, on Rural Route Number 3.

Esther Pauline Thacker was born November 20th, 1908.
Mildred Winnie Thacker was born June 18th, 1911.


EMMA FLORENCE ELLER.

    Emma Florence Eller, ninth child and fifth daughter of James H. Eller and Feraby Sanders, was born in Owen County, Indiana, April 3rd, 1854. She united with the Headings Chapel M. D. Church at the age of fifteen years. She moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana, in 1884, where she married George L. Cook, January 22nd, 1887. They lived near Crawfordsville until 1902, when they moved to the state of Kansas. They have retired from the farm now and live in Wichita, Kansas. There are two children: Ethel and Pauline L.


ETHEL COOK.

    Ethel Cook, oldest child of Emma Florence Eller and George L. Cook, was born October 30th, 1888. She united with the M. E. Church at Darlington, Indiana, when eleven years old. She finished her common school at Benton, Kansas, attended high school at Whitewater, Kansas, two years, spent one term at Brumbach Academy, Eldorado, Kansas, one year at Friends University, Wichita, Kansas, spent a four-year course at the Deaconess Training School, where she graduated in 1909. She is now in Asbury College, Wilmore, Kentucky.


PAULINE L. COOK.

    Pauline L. Cook, second child of Emma Florence Eller and George L. Cook, was born June 18th, 1891. She united with the M. E. Church at Darlington, Indiana, when nine years old. She attended school at Benton, Kansas, three years, spent one term at Brumbach Academy, Eldorado, Kansas, one term at friends University, Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from the Deaconess Training s\School in 1909. March 2nd, 1917, she was united in marriage to Otis C. Kitner, pastor of the M. E. Church at Englewood, Kansas. She is now with her husband in Chicago., where he is attending the Moody Bible Institute. There is one child, born in December, 1917.

CLARA CELINA ELLER

    Clara Celina Eller, tenth child and sixth daughter of James H. Eller and Feraby Sanders, was born in Owen County, Indiana, September 1st, 1861. She was married to Marion Miller February, 1879, at Spencer, Indiana. Her husband is a carpenter by trade and has been until recently assistant superintendent of the Indiana Match Company of Crawfordsville, Indiana. They are both members of the Methodist Church at Wesley Chapel. They have six children�Nannie, James L., Bertha S., Ben Harrison, Grace and Damon P.


NANNIE MILLER.

    Nannie Miller, oldest child of Clara Celina Eller and Marion Miller, was born in Owen County, Indiana, July 6th, 1880. She was married to Wallace B. Martin August 22nd, 1900. They reside on a farm near Crawfordsville, Indiana. They have three children: Wendell James, Chester Thurwell and Roscoe Kenneth. All the family are members of the Christian Church at Whitesville, Indiana. Their address is Crawfordsville, Indiana, R. R. No. 7.

JAMES L. MILLER.

    James L. Miller, second child of Clara Celina Eller and Marion Miller, was born near Crawfordsville, Indiana, February 11th, 1885. He married Ellyce LaBlance Glendale Dyer of Gosport, Indiana, October 8th, 1905. Their children are Roy Burdette, Marjorie Evelyn and Raymond. They are members of the First Baptist Church, Crawfordsville, Indiana. They are residing now at 1540 Garfield Place, Indiana.

BERTHA S. MILLER

    Bertha S. Miller, third child of Clara Celina Eller and Marion Miller, was born in Montgomery County, Indiana, near Crawfordsville, Indiana, March 9th, 1887. She prepared herself for office work and held several positions of trust. She married Waldo Royer September 20th, 1916. They live at Linden, Indiana, where her husband is engaged in the garage business.


BEN HARRISON MILLER

    Ben Harrison Miller, fourth child of Clara Celina Eller and Marion Miller, was born near Crawfordsville, Indiana, December 22nd, 1888. He married Mary Wray June 14th, 1913 They reside in Crawfordsville, where he is city mail carrier. Ben and his wife are members of the First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville, Indiana. They have two children: Mildred and Naomi.

GRACE MILLER

    Grace Miller, fifth child of Clara Celina Eller and Marion Miller, was born near Crawfordsville, Indiana, June 16th, 1892. She was married to Ervie M. Taylor September 1st, 1914. They reside in Crawfordsville, Indiana, where her husband is employed as stenographer and bookkeeper for the Indiana Match Company. Grace is a member of the Methodist Church.


DAMON P. MILLER.

    Damon P. Miller, sixth child of Clara Celina Eller and Marion Miller, was born near Crawfordsville, Indians, November 15th, 1896. He is attending Wabash College and is a member of the First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville, Indiana.


CHARLES ELLER.

    Charles Eller, eleventh child of James H. Eller and Feraby Sanders, was born in Owen County, Indiana, September 23rd, 1868. He married Louella Brown August 26th, 1884. To them were born four children: Christina, Everett, Owen and Davie. He lives on the home farm near Freeman Indiana.

Christina Eller died in her childhood.
Everett Eller married Bertha Thompson. There are four Children. He died August 23rd, 1917.
Owen Eller married Goldie Mink.
Davie Eller lives at home with his father.



MINERVA ELLER

    Minerva Eller, eighth child of John Eller and Susan smith, was born in 1823. Her first marriage was to Joseph Neeld. They had one child, Jane. Her second marriage was to John D. Reeves about 1847. Their children were Columbus, Sylvester, Lucinda, Alice, Benjamin and Izarah.


JANE NEELD.

    Jane Neeld, only child of Minerva Eller and Joseph Neeld, married Joe Swearington. There was one child.


COLUMBUS REEVES.

    Columbus Reeves, oldest child of Minerva Eller and John D. Reeves, was born January 5th, 1849. Being very strong and anxious to go to war, he managed to enlist at the age of fourteen in the Tenth Indiana Volunteer Cavalry and was later transferred to the 125th Indiana volunteer Infantry, where he served until the close of the Civil War. He never married, but provided a home for the family.


SYLVESTER REEVES.

    Sylvester Reeves, second child of Minerva Eller and John D. Reeves, was born May 9th, 1852. He married Mary Rice December 19th, 1878. There children were Cora Elizabeth, Nancy DeVora, Cap Melvin, Robert Oliver, Roy Clyde and Lenie May. The first wife died August 29th, 1878.[check this year � ADE] DeVora kept home for him until his marriage to Elmira Moor December 31st, 1911.

CORA ELIZABETH REEVES.

    Cora Elizabeth Reeves, oldest child of Sylvester Reeves and Mary Rice, was born July 6th, 1880. She died August 29th, 1898.


NANCY DE VORA REEVES.

    Nancy DeVora Reeves, second child of Sylvester Reeves and Mary Rice, was born July 22nd, 1882. She married Earl S. Reeves April 19th, 1913. She died February 17th, 1914.


CAP MELVIN REEVES.

    Cap Melvin Reeves, third child of Sylvester reeves and Mary Rice, was born July 16th, 1886. He married Hazel Taylor April 6th. 1914. There was one child, Mary Belle. Cap is a farmer on Rural route no. 3, Bloomington, Indiana. (Garrison Chapel Cemetery)

Mary Belle Reeves was born October 1st, 1915. -(Robert Dale, James, Martha)


ROBERT OLIVER REEVES

    Robert Oliver Reeves, fourth child of Sylvester Reeves and Mary Rice, was born March 26th 1889. He is a quarryman and lives on R. R. No. 1. Bloomington, Indiana.


ROY CLYDE REEVES.

    Roy Clyde Reeves, fifth child of Sylvester Reeves and Mary Rice, was born June 24th, 1893. He married Jennie Bean August 15th, 1914. He is a farmer on R. R. No. 2 Bloomington, Indiana.


LENIE MAY REEVES.

    Lenie May Reeves, youngest child of Sylvester Reeves and Mary Rice, was born July 25th, 1896. She died July 28th, 1898.


LUCINDA REEVES.

    Lucinda reeves, third child of Minerva Eller and John D. Reeves, was born November 13th, 1853. She helped care for the younger children for a number of years after the mother's death and then made her home with Mr. And Mrs. Joseph D. Crone until her marriage to Samuel D. Pettis April 7th, 1896. They reside on R. R. No. 1, Bloomington, Indiana.


ALICE REEVES.

    Alice Reeves, fourth child of Minerva Eller and John D. Reeves, was born February 11th, 1855. She spent her early life at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Joseph McKinley. Later she lived with Mr. And Mrs. James Ward. Since the death of her youngest sister she has kept house for her brother, Columbus.


BENJAMIN N. REEVES.

    Benjamin N. Reeves, fifth child of Minerva Eller and John D. Reeves, was born in 1857. He married Jane Cole about 1875. There were four children: John, Daisy, Alice and Grace. He died February 27th, 1887. After the father's death the family became so scattered that not much definite information can be given. The widow married again and kept Grace. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Cooper adopted Alice. John went to Iowa in 1894. He married several years later and took a homestead farther west. Then he sold out and the last heard from him was from Nebraska, reporting that he was happy with his several children.

John Reeves was born 1876.
Daisy Reeves was born 1878. She died a few years after her marriage in 1897.
Alice reeves was born in 1881. She died October 7th, 1900.
Grace Reeves was born in 1887.

IZERA REEVES.

    Izera Reeves, sixth child of Minerva Eller and John D. Reeves, was born August 7th, 1860. She died July 31st, 1896. She was a dressmaker by trade. Her later life was spent in caring for her father until his death.


ELBERT REEVES.

    Elbert Reeves, son of Izera Reeves was born February 7th, 1887. He married May Brashaber March 10th, 1916. He is a public school teacher and resides on R. R. No. 1, Bloomington, Indiana. (- Daughters � Mildred and Helen )


WESLEY ELLER AND SARAH ELLER.

    No record of these was secured.





REV. FRANCIS A. ELLER.

    Francis A. Eller, eleventh child of John Eller and Susan Smith, was born in Kentucky March 6th, 1830. He was married to Elizabeth Pauly in April 1848. To this union were born the following children: Mary E., John G., William J., Henrietta, Carrie B., Martha E., Zaring, Hill and Ida M. Frank entered the ministry of the Methodist Church in 1859. was ordained Deacon in 1864 and Elder in 1872. He was a member of the Indiana Conference and served the following charges: White Hall Circuit, 1867-1868; Newark, one year; Stanford, three years; Erie, three years; Paoli, one year; Harrodsburg, one year; Bloomfield, one year; Gosport, two years; Monrovia, one year; Morgantown, two years; Campbellsburg, three years; Hortonville one year, and Orleans, part of a year, after the death of the pastor. He was known over these charges as a faithful preacher and an efficient evangelist, and many testify of being led to Christ by him. He died at his home in Bloomington, Indiana, August 8th, 1905. MARY E. ELLER.

    Mary E. Eller, the oldest child of Francis A. Eller and Elizabeth Pauly, was born near Bloomington, Indiana, March 5th, 1849. She was married to George W. McKnight at Erie, Indiana, August 27th, 1873. To this union the following children were born: Ralph, Etta, Noble E., Everett B., and Maggie G. In her early married life they resided on a farm near Bedford, Indiana, and later moved to Bloomington, Indiana, Mollie is a member of the M. E. Church and has always taken her place in the work of the church and Sunday School. She is a member of the W. R. C., holding various offices from time to time.


ETTA E. McKNIGHT.

    Etta E. McKnight, second child of Mary E. Eller and George W. McKnight, was born near Bedford, Indiana, September 2nd, 1875/ She graduated from the Bedford high school in June, 1895, attended Indiana University and the State Normal. She was married to William M. Robinson of Bloomington, Indiana, October 9th, 1908, and lives on a farm eight miles north of Bloomington, Indiana, near Elletsville. She is a member of Simpson's Chapel M. E. Church, serving the church as Ladies' Aid President and Sunday School superintendent. They have one child, William McK.

William McK. Robinson was born December 2nd, 1912.


NOBLE E. McKNIGHT.

    Noble E. McKnight, third child of Mary E. Eller and George W. McKnight, was born near Bedford, Indiana, March 8th, 1879. He graduated from the Bedford high school in June 1896. He married Gertrude Hines December 1903. They have one child, Maggie Elizabeth. Noble is a druggist in Columbus Indiana, is a member of the Methodist Church of Columbus, where he serves the church in a general way, and he is a member of the Knights of Pythias and Modern Woodmen lodges.

Maggie Elizabeth McKnight was born February 17th, 1904.

EVERETT B. McKNIGHT.

    Everett B. McKnight, fourth child of Mary E. Eller and George W. McKnight, was born near Bedford, Indiana, June 20th, 1884. He attended the Bloomington high school three years. He was married to Leota Potter June 8th, 1896. They lived for a while in Bloomington, Indiana, then moved to Pasadena, California, where he is employed as a clerk in a department grocery store. He is a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge and of the Methodist Church. He has passed through all the chairs of the lodge. They have one child: James Erie.

James Erie McKnight was born November 4th, 1913.


MAGGIE G. McKNIGHT.

    Maggie G, McKnight, fifth child of Mary E. Eller and George W. McKnight, was born near Bedford, Indiana, September 8th, 1886. She attended Bloomington High School, graduating in 1905; then she attended Indiana University and afterwards taught school. She married F. J. Cunningham in Bloomington, Indiana, June 20th, 1913. Maggie is a member of the Methodist Church and resides in Boise, Idaho, where her husband is employed by the street car company. They have tow children: George Thomas and Francis Marion.

George Thomas Cunningham was born October 5th, 1914.
Francis Marion Cunningham was born October 3d, 1916.


JOHN G. ELLER.

    John G. Eller, second child of Francis A. Eller and Elizabeth Pauly, was born in 1850. He married Laura Saddler in December, 1871. They have lived and prospered on a part of the old homestead settled by the Ellers when they came to the State, Their home stands on the site of the first Eller home in 1833. Their children are : Frank E., Florence Belle and Minnie Verne.

Frank Eller lives with his parents at the old homestead. (b 1875-d 1936)
Florence Belle married Dolph Rawlins. There is one child, John D. Rawlins. (b. 8-19-1879, d. 5-5-1950)
Minnie Verne (b. 1881, d 1927 ) married Calvin Barker. They have one(two) child(ren), Ben(ton) Eugene Barker (b 3-16-1917) (& Marjorie Barker b 11 27 1919) (Minnie Verne Eller was the mother of Benton Eugene Barker and Marjorie Barker McCormick(Mrs. John McCormick))


WILLIAM J. ELLER.

    William J. Eller, third child of Francis A. Eller and Elizabeth Pauly, was born January 15th, 1852. He married Belle Curry February 14th, 1878. They have six children: Charlie Asbury, Harley Curry, Oscar Herman, Ida Belle, Infant son, and Catherine May. They spent their life until recently on a farm which was part of the original Eller homestead. They live in Bloomington, Indiana, now.


CHARLIE ASBURY ELLER.

    Charley Asbury Eller, the oldest child of W. J. Eller and Belle Curry, was born May 26th, 1879. He was married to Alice Howe in 1903. Their children are: Charles Howe, Marian Belle, and Barbara. He graduated from the common school and the Bloomington high school, attended Indiana University and taught school for three winters. He is a member of the M. E. Church, I. O. O. F. and Masonic Lodges. He worked his way through the Dental School at Indianapolis and located in 1905 at Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he is successful in his practice and is president of the New Mexico Dental Association.

Charles Howe Eller was born June 5th, 1904.
Marian Belle Eller was born March 30th, 1907.
Barbara Eller was born in November 1911.

HARLEY CURRY ELLER.

    Harley Curry Eller, second child of W. J. Eller and Belle Curry, was born August 9th, 1880. He was married to Edith Upton November 15th, 1908. They have three children: William James, Anna Belle Lee and Edith. After finishing the common school, he attended high school in Bloomington, Indiana. He worked with the surveying crew that surveyed the right of way for the I. And C. Railroad from Indianapolis to Bloomfield, Indiana. In 1905-1906 he was surveyor for the Midland Valley Railroad, with headquarters at Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was in the real estate and insurance business in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and is now in the oil business at Fort Smith, Arkansas.

OSCAR HERMAN ELLER

    Oscar Herman Eller, third child of W. J. Eller and Belle Curry, was born March 18th, 1883. He was married August 14th, 1907. They have two children: Mary Elizabeth and Charles Herman. After living in the north part of Indiana, he returned to Monroe County, Indiana, engaged in farming and teaming. He spent two years in Oklahoma, where he was street car motorman. He then was in Kansas City working in the packing houses. In 1915 he came back to the farm, where he is now (d. 8-14-1929, 2nd marriage to Lola Stewart )(Brownsburg Cemetery)

IDA BELLE ELLER.

    Ida Belle Eller, fourth child of W. J. Eller and Belle Curry, was born July 30th, 1884. She graduated from the Bloomington high school, attended the Normal School at Danville, Indiana, then she went to Chicago, where she graduated from a school for nurses. She has made a success of her profession, which has called her into several different states. She is a member of the M. E. Church.


INFANT SON.

    The infant son of W. J. Eller and Belle Curry was born and died December 25th, 1885. (Eller Cemetery)


CATHERINE MAY ELLER.

    Catherine May Eller, sixth child of W. J. Eller and Belle Curry, was born April 26th, 1888. She attended the Bloomington high school for two years, then trained herself in nursing in the Ravenswood Hospital, Chicago. She followed her profession until 1915. She was married to William Foss Shipley of Albuquerque, New Mexico, May 4th, 1916. They are now located in Flagstaff, Arizona. They are members of the Methodist Church.

HENRIETTA ELLER.

    Henrietta Eller, fourth child of Francis A. Eller and Elizabeth Pauly, was born west of Bloomington, Indiana, January 13th, 1854. She married Wesley Clark Denniston November 25th, 1879. Their children were: Albert Glen, James Francis, May, Pearl and Glen. Etta was a member of the Methodist Church, She attended the University at Bloomington, Indiana, and taught several years. She died February 3rd, 1913, at Bedford, Indiana.


ALBERT GLENN DENNISTON. ( d.-)

    Albert Glen Denniston, Oldest child of Henrietta Eller and Wesley Eller,[Denniston] was born at Heltonville, Indiana, September 2nd, 1881. He graduated from the common schools, then attended high school two years, After attending the Indianapolis Business College, he accepted a position in the Bedford National Bank. He was married to Mary Day (d 1958)August 7th, 1907. They went to Seattle, Washington, and later to Anacoites, Washington, where he is bookkeeper in a bank. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church, K. of P. and Masonic Lodges. They have one child, Mary Janet. (Jeannette)

Mary Janet(Jeannette) Denniston was born May25th, 1911.


JAMES FRANCIS DENNISTON.

    James Francis Denniston, second child of Henrietta Eller and Wesley Denniston, was born in Heltonville, Indiana, October 26th, 1883. He graduated from the common schools, then attended a business college in Indianapolis. He was married to Della East May 3rd, 1905. Two sons were born to this union: Berle Francis and Harold Wesley. Frank is a member of the I. O. O. F. Lodge. He is now on a farm in Green, Iowa.

Berle Francis Denniston, was born November 7th 1905.
Harold Wesley Denniston was born February 7th, 1907.


BESSIE MAY DENNISTON

    Bessie May Denniston, third child of Henrietta Eller and Wesley Denniston, was born at Heltonville, Indiana, May 9th, 1885, and died July 28th, 1885.


PEARL AND RUBY DENNISTON.(Ruby d. 9-15-1967)

    Pearl and Ruby Denniston, the youngest children of Henrietta Eller and Wesley Denniston, were born at Heltonville, Indiana, February 13th, 1887. Pearl died February 27th 1887. Ruby graduated from the common schools, then came to Bedford, Indiana, and graduated from the high school in 1906. She attended the Terre Haute Normal and taught two years. She married Ralph Smith, August 19th, 1908. She is a member of the First Methodist Church of Bedford, Indiana. Three children have come to bless their home: Ana, Ala and Elizabeth.

Ana and Ala Smith were born December 19th, 1910, Ana died December 30th, 1910.
Elizabeth Smith was born September 5th, 1911.

CARRIE B. ELLER.

    Carrie B. Eller, fifth child of Francis A. Eller and Elizabeth Pauly, was born June 25th, 1856. She died July 22nd, 1863.


MARTHA E. ELLER.

    Martha E. Eller, sixth child of Francis A. Eller and Elizabeth Pauly, was born west of Bloomington, Indiana, April 26th, 1858. She married J. T. Stipp April 20th, 1875. To this union was born one child, Gertie Ethel. Her second marriage was to J. H. Brown, at Monrovia, Indiana, December 21st, 1882. There are three children by this marriage: Herbert H., Blanche E., and Ralph E. Her third marriage was to W. C. Denniston May 28th, 1914, with whom she lives on the farm west of Gosport, Indiana. All the family belong to the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. (d Aug 1927)


GERTIE ETHEL STIPP

    Gertie Ethel Stipp, only child of Mattie Eller and J. T. Stipp, was born March 7th, 1876. She is now Gertie Cradock of Grand Rapids Michigan. (d 9-14-1946)


HERBERT H. BROWN.

    Herbert H. Brown, oldest child of Mattie Eller and J. H. Brown, was born August, 27th, 1894. He attended the common school at Carp, Indiana, spent three years in Spencer high school and is now a farmer. He was married to Gertie Steirwalt July 24th, 1915, and they live out of Spencer, Indiana, on Rural Rout No. 2. (d. 1960) BLANCHE E. BROWN Blanche E. Brown, second child of Mattie Eller and J. H. Brown, was born April 22nd, 1897. She received her common school education at Carp, Indiana, graduated at the Spencer High School, spent one year at DePauw, then taught two years near home. (d. 10-3-1975)


RALPH E. BROWN.

    Ralph E. Brown, third child of Mattie Eller and J. H. Brown. Was born September 27th, 1900. He graduated from the common schools, then went to farming. (d 10-27-1977 b, Hudson Hill C.)


ZARING ELLER.

    He was born June 19th, 1860.


HILL ELLER.

   


IDA ELLER.

    She was born July 16th, 1862, and died August 30th, 1862.
