Gerald,

Once again I must inform the Association of the passing of another family member. Our family recently lost Beatrice Eller Hipps on December 27, 1993. Beatrice had battled cancer for an extended period. Coming from a large family, she had always been available to comfort ailing brothers and sisters whenever she was needed. Her sense of humor and interest in current affairs was always welcomed.

As usual, an obituary sometimes fails to mention some of the more relevant facts of a person's life. Beatrice was the daughter of John Grover and Ethel Beatrice Jones Eller and the granddaughter of James Madison and Louisa Vannoy Eller. She was probably remembered by most as a beautician and devoted housewife. She helped her husband in tending to their farm and raising cattle. In the last several years she had been devoted to the care and well-being of her husband Ed. Ed has been stricken with Alzheimer's disease since an operation several years ago.

Beatrice was loved by all and will be missed by everyone.

Sincerely,
Charles
