A talented and artistic Eller (or relative) to design au ELLER FAMILY ASSOCIATION logo of a size to fit on T-shirts, the front of a 3 ring binder or other objects. The logo should be fairly simple such that it might be silk-screened (one color) on souvenir items. The Eller colors ( Coat of Arms) are azure (blue) and silver and may be used for the ELLER FAMILY CONFERENCE. Deadline for submitted logos is December 15, 1988. The Board of Directors will have the honor of selecting the logo for the 1989 Conference. This logo might be carried forward to other years, or we might choose a new one for each meeting. Winner's name will be immortalized in the ELLER CHRONICLES and receive one year's membership in THE ELLER FAMILY ASSOCIATION.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: With this issue a new feature is begun on Ellers in the CIVIL WA]t by Dr. Byron H. Eller, pp. 161-170, Byron requests additional information, corrections and suggestions concerning any Eller or Eller descendant who fought for either the Union or Confederacy, Readers may be quite surprised at the number of Ellers who fought in this war. This is an important part of the Eller legacy which should be of interest to the contemporary and future generations of Ellers. Byron's address: See p. 161.
