See new format style used in this issue (pp. 250-254; 255-259; 279-289) The problem of how to number individuals in genealogy is a perennial problem and many different plans have been used in this and other publications. No plan is perfect; we think this plan, used by the National Genealogical Society of America, is the best plan we have found. See explanatory information on p. 303 on how to interpret this plan.
Membership as reported by Nancy Eller is 215 and growing (full list in Feb. issue); many now inquiries are being received by each of the officers; much new genealogy is coming to our attention; indications are that Conf. '93 will be the biggest and best yet (full details in February issue).
