29 June 1910 - She was a widow aged 27 and in good health when she sailed with (her son) George from Kingston aboard SS Prinz Eitel Friedrich bound for New York. Her race was shown as being West Indian. She could read and write. Her final destination was New York (see list of alien passengers).
5 July 1910 - She was a widow aged 27 when she arrived at Ellis Island, New York from Kingston, Jamaica aboard the Prinz Eitel Friedrich with (her son) George aged 5 1/2. Her nationality was Barbados, West Indian. She had a dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes and was 5'7" tall. She was in good health. Her final destination was New York where she was to stay with Mrs L Ferguin at 498 Grand Avenue, Brooklyn (Ellis Island web-site).

NB Eleanor was the illegitimate daughter of Hannah Alicia Mudon therefore it is very unlikely that this person with the surname MUDON ever existed. It is quite probable that the name was "invented" for the sake of propriety.

His nationality was Barbados, West Indian. He had a dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes and was 4'5" tall. He was in good health. His final destination was New York where he was to stay with Mrs L Ferguin at 498 Grand Avenue, Brooklyn. He was shown incorrectly as having been born, like his mother, in Bridgetown, Barbados (Ellis Island web-site).

22 April 1919 - He wrote to the O i/c Transportation requesting wheh he might hear about sailing back to his home since he had been waiting to over two months (see letter).
24 April 1919 - He wrote (to the army), in response to their letter dated 23rd, stating that he did not ask for a deferred passage and that he had been told that he would be sent on leave for ten days awaiting a boat. He also requested an allowance "whilst I am still here" (see his letter).
14 May 1919 - He left Liverpool bound for the USA on the SS Ulua. His passage was paid for by the British Government (Ellis Islan web-site).

13 January 1947 - He was from 55 Haverstock Rd, Knowle, Bristol when he died (National Probate Register).
26 March 1947 - Probate was granted at Bristol to his estate valued at £1496 7s 6d to Frederick Edward William Mudon, a painter, and Elizabeth Eliza Loney Mudon, a married woman (National Probate Calendar).

WILLIAM JOHN MUDON (son of Thomas Michaeland Jessie Mudon)

24 August 1878 - He was born at Wolverton Station, Buckinghamshire (birth certificate).
15 September 1878 - He was baptised in St George's parish church, Wolverton (LDS Familysearch web-site).
3 April 1881 - Aged 3, he was living with his grandparents William and Isabel Barrie, their granddaughter Isabel Collins aged 11, his parents Thomas M and J(essie), his brother and T.F. and a boarder in the White House, Church St,Wolverton Station (see 1881 census).
5 April 1891 - He was a scholar aged 12 living at 45 Church St, Wolverton with his parents Thomas M and Jessie, his brother Thomas F, his cousin James Collins and Joseph Howe, a boarder (see 1891 census).
23 November 1895 - He was an unmarried fitter aged 18 years and four months employed by the London and North West Railway at Wolverton when he volunteered for 6 years service in the militia as a private in the 3rd Battalion of the Oxford Light Infantry at Newport Pagnell. His service number was 2667 (see Army Form E.504).
24 November 1895 - He underwent a medical at Oxford. He was 5' 3 3/4" tall. His weight was 110 lbs 14 ozs. His chest was 31" (unexpanded) and 33" (expanded). He had a fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, tattoo marks near to the elbow on the back of his right forearm and a scar on the calf of his right leg (see his description on enlistment document).
21 May 1896 - He was a fitter aged 19 when he arrived in New York (Ellis Island) aboard the Anchoria. He had traveled from Glasgow. He intended to travel to New Alamo (Ellis Island web-site).
24 October 1896 - He was shown as having deserted from the army in the UK (see his description on enlistment document).

6 June 1841 - Aged 7, he was living in Henbury with (his mother) Jane and (his siblings) Amos, Hannah and Esther (see 1841 census).
30 March 1851 - He was a shopman grocer aged 16 living with his mother Jane and his siblings, Amos, Hannah, Thomas and Fanny Louisa in Henbury (see 1851 census).
16 April 1851 - He was present at the death of his brother Amos (AM's death certificate).
17 April 1851 - He was living in Henbury when he notified the registrar of the death of his brother Amos (AM's death certificate).
? - He arrived in Jamaica.
? - He married Caroline Frances Ethelinde Annie Forbes.
13 December 1864 - Their son William George was born (see original parish register transcription by the minister).
16 December 1864 - He was an upholsterer living in High Holborn St when their son William George was baptised in Kingston parish church (see original parish register transcription by the minister).
16 October 1869 - He was part of the jury at the inquest into the death of Mr A W Aikman. Thew jury had visited Mr Aikman's home in Hanover St, Kingston the previous day (Jamaican Family Search Genealogy Research Library web-site).
June 1871 - A Mr Mudon from Jamaica arrived at the Great Western Hotel, Birmingham (see Morning Post dated 22 June 1871).

1878 - He lived at 16 Elletson Rd. The offices of Turnball, Lee and Mudon were at 48 Harbour (Kingston City Directory for 1878).
5 October 1880 - He was a merchant when his wife's death was registered (see death register).
7 November 1907 - He was a merchant and a widower aged 73 when he died from bronchiectasis in the Public Hospital, Kingston (see death register).
