California has several different Ahlf families 1. A Kajedeich Family that settled primarily in the East Bay / Oakland area. they arrived at about the time of the gold rush. 2. The Colusa Family - work on this is being done by Betty Detoy. They come from the Niederhull, near Osten. Some of this family later settled in Washington near Spokane. 3. The Bakersfield family that originally settled in Pennsylvania and then followed the oil field west. 4. A family in San Francisco that may have come from Freiburg. 5. There are also several individuals Ahlfs that I have not been able to relate to others. Any help would be apprecitated. |
