Barthold Ahlf of Isensee/Bruch descendants: (This is my family)
Minnesota Family originally from Bruch, Kehdingen Land, Hannover, Prussia (Germany). Records for tje family were found in the churches in Osten, Oedequardt and Oberndorf. Descendants of Barthold Ahlf first settled in Le Sueur, Minnesota area then moved to St. Paul and Worthington. Anna Margaret re-married to Claus Stueven after Barthold's death. The Stueven family (1/2 brother relatives) still live in Le Sueur area. The Lemkau or possibly Lemcke family is also showing links to the Ahlf family. This family is found in the same area in Germany and they also came to Le Sueur.
There are possibly a large number of relatives of Barthold Ahlf from Bruch.
He had several Brothers
and they seem to have stayed in Germany. Unfortunately the LDS microfiche
records end in
1852 for the churches in Osten and Oderquart (primary parish for nearly
all Ahlf records).
I would be particularly interested to correspond with descendants from this branch of the family.
