Albert E. Patterson, 97, of Port Arthur died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000 at Doctors Hospital in Groves.
A native of Welsh, La, he was a resident of Port Arthur for 74 years. He was a retired business manager of the Port Arthur Independent School District with 25 years of service. He also served as secretary to the PAISD school board and was part president of the Texas Association of School Business Officials from 1963-64. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, a charter member of the Port Arthur Country Club and a member of the Port Arthur Rotary and Campfire Girls of America. He was a World War II Air Force veteran.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thrusday at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Charles Wolfe officiating. Burial is private. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife Polly; three sons, Albert "Pat" Patterson II of Beasley, Larry Patterson of Bridge City and Rundy Patterson Henryetta, Okla.; two sisters, Laura Patterson of Jennings, La. and Mable Boudreaux of Houston; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
