Obituary of Mary Victory or Lavicey O'Quinn

This is the obituary for my g-grandmother,Mary Victory (or Lavicey) O'Quinn.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Victory Newton, 80, of Rt. 2 Box 439, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the North Chapel of the Hixson Funeral Home with the Rev. Merlin Merrill, pastor of the University Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden.

Mrs. Newton died at 6:40 p.m. Sunday in West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in Sulphur.

A native of Sulphur, Mrs. Newton had lived in Lake Charles most of her life.

Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. P.G. Williams and Mrs. George Nunez , both of Lake Charles, Mrs. Robert Moss of West Lake, Mrs. M.J. Hamilton of Orange, Tex., and Mrs. Leon Jorstad of Hitchcock, Tex; three sons, Asa Newton of Lake Charles, James Newton of Bell City and Fred newtonn of Colombus, Ohio.

Also, three brothers, E. O'Quinn of Cleveland, Tex., James O'Quinn of Beaumont, Tex. and Wilburn O'Quinn of Port Arthur, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Christine Snider and Mrs. Estella O'Quinn, both of Beaumont; 40 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren.
