My Personal Page

Welcome to the personal side of my web page!

Thanks for visiting the personal side of my web page! My name is Aimee Carter and I am the author, creator, inventor (etc, etc) of this entire web site. I was born in Sulphur, LA on September 14, 1976. I grew up in a wonderful family which included my mother, father and two brothers (one older and one younger). I graduated from Sulphur High School in 1994. For the next four years I attended a local university, McNeese State University, where I earned a B.S. in Mathematics. After college I did what any normal person would do, I found a job.

I lived in Provo, UT where I worked for a large computer networking software company for two years. While in Provo, I got married in the summer of 1999 to Robert Carter. He recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Microbiology.

Rob and I became parents on November 26, 2000. We have a beautiful, healthy, active baby boy, Ethan Charles Carter was born. Please see Ethan's Page for more info.

My little family moved away from Provo in April and we are now staying with my parents. Rob was accepted to a PhD program at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, so in August we will be moving again to Birmingham, Alabama.

There are many things that I enjoy doing. From my Home Page, you can tell that I love to do family history research. I have included some of my findings in that section of this web site. Please visit those sections and email me if we are cousins, if you may have clues to help in my search, or if you just want to talk.

I also love to travel. My husband and I have been several places since being married. We spent our honeymoon in Yellowstone National Park. We've traveled from Utah to Louisiana several times. We vacationed in Las Vegas, Nevada and Zion National Park, Utah in 2000. Just this year we went to Birmingham, Alabama for the first time. We did some calculations and figured that Ethan has traveled about 15,000 miles just within the first 5 months of his life! Rob and I also love hiking, bicycling, and playing board games.
