This familly holds a special interest to me
- Sarah (Raiford) Boon was a sister to Mary (Raiford) - wife of Ratcliff R. Boon II (my direct ancestor) and half-brother to this James Boon.
- Many descendants of this family migrated to Franklin Co., NC and lived near and also intermarried with MY OWN William Boon, s/o Ratcliff R. Boon Jr, descendants. (I highly suspect that my own Ratcliff Boon Jr. family could have more Raiford connections that I haven't discovered yet.

Many researchers have confused this Sion Boon with his nephew, Sion Boon (who is about 25 years younger), son of William Boon, who went to Madison-Gibson Co., TN.
Descendants of the 2nd marriage to Chasey Councill are DOUBLE COUSINS to me as I also descend from Hardy Council and Susanna Fulgham
