BAPTISMS, MARRIAGES & BURIALS

This section contains information from the Parish Registers of St Andrew's Church, Stanley, and All Saints' Church, Stanley Common. Also included are the Bishops' Transcripts for Stanley and all the Methodist baptisms that I have been able to locate. I have not been able to include the earliest parish register book for Stanley (baptisms & burials before 1782 and marriages before 1754) since it is so badly damaged that producing a full and accurate transcription would be impossible. Also I have not included any baptisms from less than 100 years ago, or any marriages from less than 80 years ago, in order to minimise the chance of including the names of people still living. With these exceptions, the transcriptions below are complete and, I trust, accurate (if you find any errors please let me know).

See bottom of page for copyright information and acknowledgments.
