1713, Apr. 28. Richard Stout, yeoman, of Shrewsbury, and Mary, his wife, exchanged with William Jefferys, yeoman, of Shrewsbury, his land, known as Deal, containing one hundred and twenty acres, bounded by lands of Francis Jeffery, Whale Pond Brook, Thomas Potter's land, etc., excepting a burying place "where Benjamin Rogers, deceased, Iyes buried," which land was conveyed to Richard Stout by Benjamin Rogers May 1, 1712, for land belonging to William Jeffery, which he had derived from Francis Jeffery Feb. 21, 1712. Signed by Richard Stout by his mark. Witnesses: Jonathan Allen, Joseph Wardell, Jacob Dennis, Thomas Bently. Recorded l731-2.
William received payment from the Estate of Rev. Alexander Inness, who's will was proved 3 Aug 1713 .
17l4, June 19. Richard Stout, of Shrewsbury, yeoman, and Mary, his wife, for £300, sold to William Jeffery, yeoman, of Shrewsbury, property at Deal, which was conveyed to said Stout, Apr. 28, 1713, by the said Jeffery. William Jeffery was the son of Francis Jeffery, of Shrewsbury, who also had anotber son by name, Francis Jeffery. Richard Stout signed by his mark. Mary, his wife, did not sign. Registered 173l-2.

William appeared on Monmouth Co. freeholders list in 1748.

William Jeffrey was named executor in will of Robert Paden of Shrewbury, Monmouth, NJ, dated 4 Feb 1748-9. It was noted in will-Thomas Bell, surviving executor, sworn same day; William Jeffery, Senior, "dying about three months after the said testator".

The Last Will and Testament of William Jeffery of the town of Shrewsbury in the County of Monmouth and Eastern Division of the Province of New Jersey yeoman, I the said William Jeffery Being of a Sound and Disposing mind and memory (Almighty God be praised for that and all other his blessings and mercies to me) but sick of Body do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following. First and Principally I give my Soul into the hands of God that gave it. And my Body to the Earth to be Buried at the Discretion of my Executors and as to my Temporal Estate I Dispose of the same after the following manner. I give and Bequeath to my beloved wife Mary one third part of all my Personal Estate, my best bed (?), my horse, , and worsted. And during all the time she Remains my Widow I give her _ : of all my lands and meadows at Manasquan all which Bequests I give unto her instead her third or Dower. I devise and Bequeath to my eldest son William Jeffery his Heirs and Assigns for ever the southernmost half part of that Plantation I now live on at Deal with the half part of my Salt Meadows belonging to it on Racoon Island Meadows and the half part of the tract of Pine Land I lately bought of Benjamin Lewis. And I hereby order will and appoint that my Eldest Son shall pay unto his brother, my Youngest Son David at his age of fourteen years the sum of fifty Pounds. I give devise and Bequeath to my Son Daniel the northermost half part of my said Plantation at Deal, the other half part of my Salt Meadow and land I lately bought of Benjamin Lewis. To my son Daniel his Heirs and Assigns for ever my will is that his Eldest Brother William shall have the priviledge for himself and his _ of a Passage to Brook for Water d P L on the west side of Daniel's half. My will is and I hereby order and appoint that my Son Daniel shaIl take care of and his Sister my eldest Daughter Phebe who is weak and crazy in Body and mind during her life in as good a manner as she has hitheto been used to. My Round Meadow I also devise to my above mentioned Sons to be equally divided between them, to their Heirs and Assigns for Ever. Also my four acres of Meadow on Poplar Swamp Brook above the Longbridge to be divided as above. I give devise and Bequeath all my lands and Meadows at Manasquan, after my wife's Marraige or Decease with my Rights to land on Manasquan Beach to my four Sons Thomas, John, Joseph and Jeremiah to be divided equally between them in quantity and quality to their several Heirs and Assigns for Ever. My will is and I hereby order and appoint that each and every one of my said four Sons shall severally pay unto their youngest brother David ------ ----- Pounds
at the said David's age of fourteen years being the sum of One Hundred pounds by my last mentioned four Sons. I give to my children Thomas, John, Joseph, Jeremiah, David, Grace, Jemina and Elizabeth to each of them one ____ apiece also to my Son Jeremiah my ___ Gun. All the rest and Residue of my Personal Estate not herein before Bequeathed I give to my three Daughters Grace, Jemina and Elizabeth to be equally divided between them Share and Share alike. I Nominate, Constitute and Appoint my loving Friends William Jackson and Job Cook Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I hereby revoke all former will or wills by me made. In Witness whereof my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of Paper I the said Willaim Jeffery have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Sixteenth Day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Seven. And in the Twenty first year of his Majesty King George the Second's Reign &c. 1747.
Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said William Jeffery to be his last will and Testament in presence of us, who have hereunto set our hands in presence of the Said Testator.
