Notes for Anthony Tomkins
In 1684, he owned 1000 acres on the Neshaminy in Bucks Co, PA. He received the land through the right of his wife in the estate of Joshua Holland, a mariner from Kent, who had purchased the land from William Penn in 1682. He also owned 200 acres on Duck Creek, and a long on Front Street in Philadelphia, later owned by his son Joshua. He likely returned to England, as there is no record of a will or letters of administration in Penn. [651]

Listed as one of the original landowners of Northampton township, Bucks Co, organized in 1722 (Bucks Co Rootsweb page)
