Executor of his father-in-law’s will. He received 100 acres, which he evidently passed on to his son William, as William Meakin is listed as owner of Beard’s Choice in addition to the two tracts he received from his grandfather in the debt books through the 1750s. This William also owned 150 acres called Wolver Hampton (which ended up in his son-in-law’s hands by 1707) and 50 acres called St. Williams.

There is a will in the St. Mary’s county for William Meakins dated 17 Feb 1749. That is probably a son, as it would be too old to be this William. Mentions sister Ann Wots, whose son Willibe is under 21. No mention of wife or children. There’s also a will for Augustine Meekins, dated 21 Feb 1767, mentions sisters Margaret and Theresa. wife is probably Catherine.
