DEATH CLAIMS MRS. IRA MOORE

Mrs. Mamie Belle Moore, 75, wife of James Ira Moore, Columbus route one,
died last night at 11:20 at her home. She had been in failing health for
the past year.

The daughter of William and Maretta Jarrett, she was born July 29, 1887,
at Melrose, where she grew to womanhood. She and Mr. Moore of Melrose were
married Feb. 10, 1907. They made their home in the Melrose district until
1921, when they moved to rural Valeda. They returned to this area in 1951,
and she had lived at the present location since that time. Two children
preceded her in death.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the Baptist church in Melrose.
Survivors include the husband; three daughters, Mrs. Deloris Evans of
Colorado Springs, Mrs. Elma Mae Reel of Parsons and Mrs. Marianne Wilson of
Coffeyville; three sons, William Moore and Leo Moore, both of Coffeyville,
and Dale Moore of Columbus route one; one sister, Mrs. Nora Durham of
Parsons; 17 grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and
nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the
Ruhland-Murdock chapel. The Rev. Alfred Grimes will officiate. Burial
will be in Fairview cemetery two and one-half miles west of Melrose.
