- 1782 Rhode Island Census lists Daniel Burlingham with 3m u16, 1f u16, 1m 22-5 0, 1f 22-50 (p. 265) (transcribed in NEHGR, 1973-1976; Daniel apears on 129:385 )
- 1784 Cumberland town census: 6 children, 4 sons, 2 daughters.
While the census lists four sons, two either did not survive to have children or were estranged from James and Joseph. Joseph did not have children, and his will named his heirs as sister Sally Armskee (m. William), Fish nieces and nephews (children of his departed sister Rosetta Fish), and brother James Burlingame of Carroll Co, IL.
