Arnold: KING James, died Nov. 19, 1756.

Taxed 16 Jun 1713. Deeds from 1721, 1728, 1730, and 1731 identify sons James, Thomas, Amos and Clement, probably made as the sons came of age. On 8 Nov 1742, he made up the account and gave bond for his wife Persis, administratrix of the estate of her former husband William Brooks.

Gloucester records record, “This may inform you that our ancient brother James King of Gloucester departed this life on the 19th day of November, A.D. 1756, which we desire you would enter on your records. To the Town Clerk of Gloucestr. (Signed) Samuel Winsor, Mary Winsor, John Winsor, Joshua Winsor, Elizabeth Winsor.

Various online sources, including those that appeart to be based on the book about Mercy’s descendants, say Samuel and Mercy (Williams) Winsor had three children, Samuel, Hannah, and Joshua. Savage’s agrees. No sourced WorldConnect tree gives a daughter Sarah.
