It's All Relative
Hello to all family researchers and potential cousins! I'm Amy Guercia Convery and have been identifying leaves on my family tree for over 15 years. My tree is half Irish and half Sicilian, but mainly all emigrated to New York City.
My Sicilian ancestors - from my father's side - came to the United States between 1895 and 1910. The Irish ancestors - from my mother's side - arrived much earlier, some as early as 1830 up until the 1850s.
No matter when they arrived, or from which country, Ireland or Sicily, my ancestors all gathered in New York City or Brooklyn.
