LANTZ GENEALOGY

     of Pennsylvania.  April 20, 1756, he was in garrison at Fort
     Augusta, near Shamokin, Pa.  He was born in New Jersey.
                         Revolutionary War
          Martin Lantz enlisted as a Private in Continental Line
     of Northampton County, Pa., July 15, 1776, under Lieuten-
     ant Colonel Weltner.  He was appointed Serjeant in 1777.
     He re-enlisted Feb. 13, 1780 for the duration of the war in
     Company of Captain John Shott.  He was discharged in
     Colonel Hazen's regiment.
          Martin Lenss or Lentz was a member of Northampton
     Rangers 1778 to 1783.  He was enrolled in second class in
     company of Captain Schmetter and furnished a substitute,
     Bernard Hauser, who served under Captain Myer in 1781.
          George Lance was enrolled as a private seventh class in
     company of Captain Schmetter, Continental Line of North-
     ampton Co. He was enrolled in Northampton Rangers from
     1778 to 1783.
          John Lans was enrolled as private seventh class in
     company of Captain Schmetter, Continental Line of North-
     ampton Co. He was enrolled in Northampton Rangers from
     1778 to 1783
          Conrad Lentz was enrolled as private in company of
     Captain Schmetter, Continental Line, Northampton Co. He
     was enrolled in Northampton Rangers from 1778 to 1783.
          George and Conrad served as privates under Captain
     Bernt from Apr. 18, to Apr. 27, 1782; and Conrad served
     with Captain Myer in 1781.
          John Lence was a member of York County Militia.
          Captain Sebastian Lentz served in third company, first
     battalion Berks County Militia in 1777 and 1778.  He was
     appointed Captain May 17, 1777.
          John Lantz served as a private in Captain Rusher's
     company Bedford County Militia.
          Christian Lentz served as a private in Captain Graeff's
     company Berks County Militia in 1780 and 1781.
          Leonard H. Lance served as private in Northampton
     County Rangers from 1778 to 1783.
          Peter Lantz was on muster roll of Captain Yaeye's
     company of Lancaster County Militia in 1776.  In 1779, he
     appears as first class in company C, private in company of
     Captain Davis and Lieutenant Elliott and in 1782 as eighth
     class.
          John Lance was enrolled as private eight class in Cap-
     tain Sleter's company Lancaster County Militia in 1782.
