LANTZ GENEALOGY

                   JACOB LANTZ

         The  Lantzs of Sussex County, N. J.

    Jacob Lantz was born in Germany in 1710.  At the age
of 28 years he came to America with his brothers, John and
Michall.  They landed in Philadelphia, where they signed
the oath of allegiance to the British Crown.  He settled in
Hunterdon County, N. J. but later moved to Sussex County,
where many of his descendents still live.  He had one son,
Jacob.

    Jacob Lantz, son of Jacob Lantz was born in Sussex
County, N. J., where he died in 1820.  He had the following
children: George; Peter, moved to Bradford County, Pa.;
Jacob, moved to Illinois; Margaret; Susan, married, Anthony
Longeore; Barbara, married Susan's husband; Sophia, mar-
ried Peter Henderson; Ann, married Smith; Elizabeth,
married Anderson; and Mary, married William Snook.

    George Lantz, son of Jacob Lantz lived and died on the
old homestead in Sussex County, N. J. He married Cath-
erine Henn.  They had children: William, see family of
William Lance (C111); Robert, see family of Robert Lance
(C112); David, see family of David Lance (C113); George,
see family of George Lance (C114); Jacob, see family of
Jacob Lance (C115); John, see family of John Lance
(C116); Martha, married Rose; Susan, married Kunkle, no
children; and Maria, married Price.

         C14          Margaret Struble           C1

    Margaret, daughter of Jacob Lantz, was the first wife
of Peter L. Struble.  She had four children: William P.
Struble; Anna Maria Struble; Elias Struble, moved to Ohio;
and Elizabeth Struble.

                    MICHALL LANTZ

           The Lantzs of Warren County, N. J.

    Michall Lantz was born in Germany in 1716.  At the
age of 22, he came to America with his brothers and settled
in the German Valley, N. J. about four miles from the Dela-
ware River.  The little stone house in which he lived is still
standing.  He lived here several years and married.  An
