He married Lydia Bupp at York, Pa. BALTZER LANTZ The Lantzs in Lancaster City, Penna. Baltzer Lantz was born in Wettenberg, Germany. After a quarrel with his people in Germany, he left the plow standing in the field and came to America. This was in 1752. He settled in the city of Lancaster. He was a mason by trade. He married Susanna Shaffer. His will was probated in 1812. He was far advanced in years. His will reads in part: "I commend my soul to God, and my body I commend to the earth to be decently interred as my executor shall direct in humble hope of a glorious resurrection and a happy admission into the Regions of Immortal Bliss and Glory in and through the merits of my Mediator and Redeemer, Jesus Christ."
