My
ancestors were among the earliest settlers to New France (Canada). Several
were soldiers in various regiments, and more than 90 of the women were among
the Filles des Roi (King's Daughters). Currently, the database contains 12,627
individuals in 5,208 Family Groups. Almost exclusively, these families came
from France in the 1600’s to settle Lower Canada (Quebec). If you are researching French Canadian
ancestry, I am sure you will find many of your ancestors in my file. A good part of my research focused on the
early settlers to the Detroit/Windsor (Essex County) area, the area where I
was born. |
