Notes for COL. ANDREW LYNN, JR.:  The Cindy Klein file does not list James as a son of Andrew and Mary on the page showing their children. The file submitted by Penny Snell ([email protected]) doesn't list James either. The birth dates for their children came from the Penny Snell file.

Notes for JAMES LYNN, SR.:  Frederick Co., MD later became what is now Alleghany Co.

He died in what was to become McLean Co., not actually in McLean Co. It was formed in 1854 from Daviess, Muhlenberg and Ohio counties. The children born before 1792 would actually have been born in one of the VA counties that became the state of KY. Nelson Co. (VA - where they were married) was formed in 1785 from Jefferson Co., VA. The Cindy Klein file shows that he died in 1833 in Louisville, Daviess Co., KY (Louisville is actually in Jefferson Co., KY).

(Note: some other records show Andrews died in PA about 1794.)
