| James McKINTY
(1821-1880) |
James McKINTY
James was a Blacksmith. He died in 1880, aged 59, at 5 Beaverbank Place, Canonmills, Edinburgh from a compound depressed fracture of the skull. This must have resulted from a serious occurance, but exactly what has not been discovered in searches to date. In the 1871 Census his birthplace is recorded as what looks like "Ballymannery", Ireland. This is probably meant to be Ballymoney, Antrim given that in the late 1830s his brother got married and his first child wasbaptised in The Roman Cathlic church in Glenarm, Antrim. I have 12 April 1821 as his birth date, but not sure where this is from.

James married Charlotte LEISHMAN, daughter of John LEISHMAN and Sophia WALKER, on 12 Apr 1841 in Canongate Church, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. (Charlotte LEISHMAN was born about 1823 in Canongate, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland and died on 25 Jan 1900 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.) |
