Mary KEVIL
Mary Kevil was the daughter of Patrick (b.1854/5, Co. Sligo, Ireland) and Eliza (nee Bennett b.1853, d.28.7.1920 Sheffield [aged 67]). The Kevil family were living at No.12 Smiths Square, Bailey Lane, Sheffield in 1881 and 5 Rockingham Street, Sheffield in 1891. By 1901 they were at 7 Rockingham Street and the census shows Mary, aged 21, (Cutlery Warehouse worker) living at home, with her mother and siblings John (Plasterer, born 1881/2), James (Errand Boy, born 1883/4) and Agnes (born 17.8.1888). Her father Patrick had died by this time. Mary died in Sheffield, aged 34, and is buried at St Michael's Cemetery, Rivelin. In the same grave at St Michael's Cemetery are Eliza Kevil (mother), Winifred Walsh (daughter), Patrick Walsh (husband) and Elizabeth Walsh (nee McGinty Hutton, Patrick's second wife)
