  General Notes:

Nicholas and his Bridget wife lived in Mallardstown, Callan, Kilkenny, Ireland. This was their address at the time of their marriage (1855) and the baptisms of Daniel (1857) and Michael (1859) which took place in the parish of Callan. The family seem to have moved to England in 1862/3 as Mary appears to have been born in Callan in 1862, but Anastasia was born in Rotherham in 1863. In the 1871 census the family is at 82 Charles Street, Rotherham with Nicholas described as a labourer in the glassworks. This is also his occupation in 1891.
