John LEPP
John was born in Liverpool. In the 1841 census John and his wife Mary are living in Chesterfield with their sons John and Edward (his daughter Sarah isn't with them). He is described as a Tabocconist Journeyman. In later census returns which hold more information the children recorded as being born in Liverpool, so it would appear that the family moved from Liverpool to Chesterfield in the 1830s as John is recorded in Liverpool Trade Directories at 7 Fontenoy St., Liverpool until about 1829. In the 1851 census John (Tobacco Maufacturer), Mary (Tobacco Manufacturer) Edward (Accountant) and Sarah (Architect?) are living in Sheffield and they have a visitor - Edward Lepp born about 1844 in Liverpool. John died in Sheffield at the end of 1855.
General Cemetrey, Sheffiels PlotL80 - Tobacconist John married Mary MILLS on 10 Oct 1808 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. (Mary MILLS was born about 1787, died in Jun 1861 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England and was buried on 16 Jun 1861 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.) |
