Thomas was born at 19 Hawley Croft and was baptised 12.3.1887 in the RC Parish of St Marie's, Sheffield. His godmother was Margaret Cain. There is a mistake in the Parish Register, where it gives Thomas' parents surname as Farrell instead of Walsh. (Farrell is the entry directly above in the Register). He was buried on 4.10.1887 in City Road Cemetery, Sheffield, in an unmarked, Common grave (3219GG - 4th row, 5th from far side) along with John & Mary Henaghan [Hanaghan] (grandparents), Catherine Walsh and Martin Walsh (siblings)
