Catherine Maria PILLEY
Catherine entered the order of the Sisters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul on 28/10/1898, when she took the religious name of Sr. Lucy. Throughout her life she lived in several convents in London and in Wiltshire. At the time of the 1911 Census she was with the Sisters at St Joseph's Home, Lower Edmonton, Middlesex. In 1921 she was moved to the Provincial House at Mill Hill, London where she was First Secretary. She died on 17/7/1938 aged 66, and she was buried in Mill Hill Cemetery in Block B. Her cousin (on her mother's side) Mary Agnes Wilson entered the same order one year later, and although they lived in some of the same convents, it would seem they were never in the same place at the same time.
