William McGINTY HUTTON

William was a conductor on Sheffield's electric trams at the time of the 1911 census. His marriage to Elizabeth Fairest is recorded under the name of McGinty-Hutton. Following the death of Elizabeth, William (Hutton) marrried widow Bertha Case (nee Townsend) on 15th July 1939. A witnes was E. Walsh which was presumably his sister Elizabeth who had married Patrick Walsh. When the 1939 Register was taken on the 29th September 1939 the newly married couple were in Sheffield living at 145 Whitham Road and William is described as a Coal-head Electric Crane Driver. William and Bertha appear in the electoral roles of 1956 and 1957 at Wandsworth Bridge Road, Fulham SW6. At the time of Bertha's death in 1961 their address was 306 High Road, Trimley, St Martins, Suffolk. This was William's address when he died six months later.
