6 Aug 2006: 1900 US Census (Wilbarger County, Texas) listed John B Freeman, Wife and 8 children (Hoyt Prentice was born 1 year later) It listed Alabama as the birth place of John B's and his mother, and Virginia as his father's birthplace. John B was originally thought to have been born in Pulaski, Arkansas, but personal records must have been incorrect. Marriage: Probably in Arkansas: 1st child was born in Arkansas, that's also where Ellen Sorrell and her parents were born.

12 Oct 2006: Phone Conversation with CD Freeman (RIN 814) from White Deer, TX:
JB's brothers disowned him for marrying Ella because she was Cherokee Indian. He died from the flu. JB's tombstone is the only one in the cemetary that is facing the wrong direction. Looks like a large tree trunk.

Ellen's last name might be spelled Sarrell or Sorrell? Info came from
separate papers in my records.
