Long Lake Cemetery
Hartsmere, North Hastings, Ontario

Transcribed in part by Debbie Lavoy 1998 and Allan Bronson 2000
Bancroft, Ontario
The picture of Long Lake Cemetery above was submitted to me by Allan Bronson.

The gravestones have been read row by row starting at the front gate. Some dates on stones are hard to read. This list has been changed to semi alphabetical order, rather than the order in which the graves are situated in the Cemetery itself. There are about 100 people in this list and it is well worth looking through! There(may) be errors, because these stones were read by the above. But from my research, the Inscriptions are basicly correct.

This Cemetery has many of our Canadian family members buried here. You will find them in the Family Gedcom. My Great Great Grandparents, *Thomas Wannamaker and Rachel Hannah* are seen below. This Cemetery is well kept and is still used today. It is situated by Wannamaker Lake near McArthurs Mills, North Hastings which once was called Hartsmere. Wannamaker Lake is well known in the area. The name of the lake has been changed to Long Lake and is used by various church groups, clubs and camping. Although many of the Locals call it by it's original name, Wannamaker Lake.
