ENGLAND family of Eastern Kentucky and southern WV. I have no direct
relationship that I know of to this family, however, they seem to con
nect to my ROBERTS family at various times and places.
I know that Joseph England (Ingle) md Candace OSBORN in Floyd Co.
Ky. 3 Aug 1809. He s/o Joseph and she d/o Solomon and Hanner OSBORNE.
This was before Pike Co. separated from Floyd. I haven't located the
Joseph, father to Joseph of 1809 marriage, but 2nd Joseph appears to
have been born ca 1785 in NC (per 1860 PCK census) This is too early to
be grandson of the John England b 1767 Goochland, d 1840 Scott. This
John had son Joseph.

I am quite sure that Mary, Solomon, Sherwood, Ruel and Manerva were
siblings, plus whoever the husband of Nancy b 1813 was. These others
may be children of a brother to Joseph. They apparently are related,
but I don't know how. I suspect the old Henry Ingle b 1750-60 who
lived in Perry Co Ky may be a close relative to this family and some of
the children may be of Henry. There was a query by Mrs. Albert Kautes,
P.O. Bx 1076, Livingston, TX 77351 in TSWV Mar '83 about a Joseph
ENGLAND b 1760-70, Va, d. 1844 Marion Co, Ill, had son John b. 1791 Va.
Joseph's wife may have been Nancy Burley/Burnley. Another son Sam'l
Sebird (called Bird) b 1802, Knox Co., Tn. md Mary Ann WHITE, a daugh
ter Sarah, b 1809, Tn md Wm. WILKINS, looking for book "Sam'l & Joseph
England." This Joseph could have been father of FCK Joseph b 1785,
because East Tn and N.C. adjoin, and birth date is within range of pos
sible.
