On the 1841 Census (6 June) Lucy was aged 10, living with his parents at Upperthorpe, Killamarsh, Derby. (PRO ref HO107/195/13/2/22/9/14)

On the 1851 Census (30 March) she was aged 20, living with his parents at Killamarsh. (PRO ref HO107 piece 2148 folio 410 pg 15)

Lucy married William Upton on 31 January 1858 at Sheffield Parish Church . Both were aged 27. William was a labourer, as well as his father James Upton. (GRO cert Dean Ardron + GRO ref Sheffield 9c 264 Mar 1858)

She died on 27 April 1865 aged 34 in Kilnhurst . An inquest was held and the cause of death was established as having been disease of the heart. (GRO cert Dean Ardron) GRO REF??
