My Armstrong family has at least three Armstrong lines who came to the United States in the 1800's and settled in central New York State.
My maternal great grandfather was John Alexander Armstong, who was born in Millen's Bay, New York, USA in 1848. His parents were Robert Emmet Armstrong, who was born in Northern Ireland in 1819 and was a descendant of Christopher Armstrong, and Elizabeth Liddy, who was born in Scotland in 1824 and was a descendant of John Armstrong,
My maternal great grandmother was Jennie Armstong (yes, her maiden name was Armstrong ), born in Canada in 1846, the daughter of Francis Armstong.
