Where: General Butler State Park, just outside Carrollton KY.
From Interstate 71 take the Carrollton exit. Turn north onto KY route 227, toward Carrollton. Turn left into the main entrance of the park.
Butler Shelter: Follow the main park road through the park, past the lake, up the hill, past the lodge, past the golf course, and, finally, back down the hill (slowly). We will be at the shelter house on the right just before the tennis courts and just before the park exit on the Carrollton side. If you are coming in on US 42, you can turn south onto KY 320 (11th St, or Lock Rd, in Carrollton) and enter the park from the west side. You will see the tennis courts and the shelter house on your left.
Lake Shelter: We only meet here if we cannot reserve the Butler shelter. Turn right into the parking lot next to the Putt-Putt Golf. Park as close to the lake as you can. Wheelchair access just past Putt-Putt; a few parking places.
We eat at noon sharp and would be so glad to see you. Us old timers bring a covered dish but you don't need to bring anything, just yourself and family.
