William H. Askew was born 1837 in Georgia.  He married MARY TINSLEY September 28, 1856 in Georgia.  She was born in 1838 and died December 17, 1903 in San Augustine, Texas, buried Liberty Hill Cemetery, Shelby County Texas.  William died in 1927 and is buried in Biggars Cemetery, Shelby County Texas..

6.  THOMAS HENRY ASKEW, sixth child of William and Mary Tinsley Askew, was born March 13, 1866 in Georgia.  He married ADA DELILAH ADAMS October 9, 1889 in Shelby County Texas..  Born May 24, 1870, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of John Franklin and Margaret Biggars Adams and died February 8, 1955 in Shelby County.   Thomas died March 27, 1947.  Both are buried in Biggars Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas.

b.  EUGENE ASKEW, second child of Thomas and Ada Adams Askew, was born October 23, 1892 in Shelby County Texas.  He married first time MARY CORELROY March 26, 1912 in Shelby County Texas.  To this union no children were born.  He married second time MARY ELIZABETH GILLIAM August 9, 1912.  Mary died July 26, 1967 and buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Jefferson County Texas.  He married third time BESSIE HAGLER March 3, 1923.   She was born May 23, 1907.  Bessie died November 28, 1999.  Eugene died November 12, 1991.  Both are buried in Biggars Cemetery, Shelby County Texas.
