Arms used by Gen. Humphrey Atherton: Shield of red, with three silver sparrow hawks, two above one. On crest, a hawk with gold bells on perch.
Arms used by Athertons of Atherton Hall (England): Same shield as above, but sparrow hawks said to have gold beaks and bells. On crest, a blue swan with a gold coronet around its neck.
