Avery Reunion - 2001

AVERY FAMILY REUNION

Wellington, Ohio

July 4-5, 2001

The July 4 Avery Family Reunion was held in Wellington, Ohio at Elsie Avery Mann's home on Cemetery Rd. We gathered together for a time of visiting and catching up on family happenings of the past years. We put together a float to ride in the Wellington 4th of July Parade, celebrating our long history in the area. As we rode along the parade route we sang songs and had a general good time waving at the people gathered to watch the parade. T-shirts were made available from the Avery Bottling Co. and some wore their shirts from previous reunions.

On the 5th some enjoyed a walk along the old Kipton Nickel Plate Railroad trail, starting in Kipton and walking about a mile east and back. In the afternoon we took a trip to Vermilion, Ohio along the Lake Erie shore and visited the many small shops and restaurants in the town.

The Avery Family Cookbook was complete and was available for purchase.
