- Born: , Talbot, MD, USA
- Married: Bef Dec 1701, , Talbot, MD, USA
- Died: 14 Aug 1770, , Talbot, MD, USA
General Notes:
George Collison evidently met Sarah Aldern at the St. Michaels Parish Church where her mother owned several pews. They were married by the time of his father's death in 1736, as his portion of REHOBETH and REHOBETH POINT was designated as the "part on which he lives". Sometime following the sale of his inheritance to his brother, Edward, he moved to Dorchester County (into that portion which is now part of Caroline County). There are no deeds for the acquisition of land in Dorchester which would indicate he was possibly a shipbuilder or a timbercutter. His will entered into probate on the 13th of AUgust 1770 and witnessed by William Lee and John FLEHARTY reads: "I George Collinson, of Dorchester County, in the Province of Maryland, being of sound and perfect mind and memory...that my beloved wife, Sarah, should be quietly and peaceably possessed of all and singular my goods and chattels during her widowhood and after her marriage or decease, all to be equally divided among my children then living, viz., Richard Collison, Mary Caulk, Sarah, Rebeckah and Elizabeth Collison...do appoint my beloved wife, Sarah, and my son, Richard, executrix and executor...this 28th day of 1769, day of January in year of our Lord." SIgned: George Collyson.
George married Sarah ALDERN, daughter of Richard /Aldern ALDREN and Elizabeth ALDERN Mrs., before Dec 1701 in , Talbot, MD, USA. (Sarah ALDERN was born in , Talbot, MD, USA and died in , Talbot, MD, USA.)
